Foie Gras - Farewell my friend
I normally don't post on weekends but had to share this tragic news with you. Today is the last day that you can get Foie Gras in the state of California. Starting July 1st the production and sale of this fine delicacy will be illegal. CRAZY RIGHT? So last night I decided to indulge in Foie Gras one last time. I had the lovely FG&J donut at Umamicatessen.
This beauty was filled with a tasty Foie Gras mousse, forest berry jam which had a mix of blueberry/blackberries in it and some peanut yeast. It was fried to order and when we dug in it turned into this delicious gooey mess. I will say, this is probably the BEST donut I've ever had!
